The high level mixing plant will be located behind the fill on the road. To the right is shown the highway extension road to the Nevada spillway. Note the shovel boom projecting at the site of what was formerly Lookout Point. August 12th, 1932.
1451 Three hundred boxes of dynamite were used in the spectacular blast which demolished Lookout Point. Picture taken from new Lookout Point, on Black Canyon Highway. August 16th, 1932.
1452 Blasting is usually scheduled for 11:30 A. M., and the billowing dust dislodged from the canyon rim completely fills the canyon. August 16th, 1932.
