Subject	Boulder City, NV; Construction-Dams; Hoover Dam; Six Companies, Inc; Utah Construction Company
Description	In 1931, Utah joined Six Companies Inc. to raise the surety required to bid for the Boulder (Hoover) Dam contract. One of the world’s largest dams, Hoover Dam was completed in 1936 at a cost of $49 million. These scrapbooks document through photographs the construction of the dam showcasing UCC'; s part in its creation.

Note the truck road in the background, for disposal of tunnel muck on the Arizona side. January 25th, 1932. # 513 one of the several barges used in transferring trucks and heavy material across the river. This one is equipped with a double drum hoist. January 10th, 1932. # 504 Several boats are used for the transporting of men, powder and supplies up and down the canyon. January 10th, 1932.";
