OGDEN, UTAH. 9/22/03 Hon. David Eccles. Baker City. Dear Friend: I was under the impression that you would return to Ogden from Logan, so that I could talk to you about the Bank affairs. I find that it will be a month or two before the Cashier will be able to come to work; he can only move about now, and is improving very slowly. I cannot possibly stand to stay here for such protracted period, and it is my opinion that you had better write directly to Brigham to tell John to come here about the 7th or a little before, with the understanding that the Directors will put him in as Assistant Cashier at their meeting to be held that day, and with the further understanding that he will be appointed Cashier on or before Jan. 1st next. As things are here now I am getting absolutely no assistance from anybody else, and I feel that I ought not to be asked to continue these arduous duties any longer, or for such indefinite time as now seems likely to elapse; besides I think the best interests of the bank demand that some competent man should be placed in immediate control of the actual work of the Bank. Please attend to this matter at once, or oblige Your Truly Thomas D Dee
