F. S. MURPHY, PRESIDENT PERRY, OREGON J. E. HYDE, SECRETARY BAKER CITY, ORE. Eastern Oregon White Pine Shippers’ Association OFFICE OF SECRETARY, Baker City, Oregon, March 3rd 1905
David Eccles Ogden Utah Dear Sir and Friend In opening your letter to day I was most agreeably surprised to find therein five ten dollar Bills. While I appreciate your kindness very much in tendering me the present – I would much rather it would be added to my salary than to accept it as a gift. However I thank you very kindly and I assure you I shall while in your employ over endeavor to serve you to the best of my ability again thanking you I am Yours Very Truly Wm Beindneau P.S. in thinking over the Box proposition I have about come to the conclusion that it would be a good idea if you could secure me a pass I would devote my time free of charge and take a few days trip down on Oregon Coast and perhaps into California. As the old saying goes a dog is never to old to learn new tricks and there might be a possibility of learning something new in regard to the manufacturing of Botls. Also some new fads on machinery. Don’t know that you have anything of this kind in your head but just merely mention it for your consideration. WB.
