With further reference to your favor of November 28th and my reply of December 5th, would state that the above mentioned consignment has since arrived and been delivered to me, and I find that the piece of statuary entitled “Girl on Chair with Cat” is the piece that has sustained the damage referred to in your favor of November 28th. The damage is such that it cannot be mended or repaired, and the piece is of no value in its present condition. I would therefore appreciate it if you will communicate with shippers and arrange with them to either duplicate the damaged statuary, or refund to me the value of same; say Fcs. 300.
