Salt Lake City, Utah. April 18-1907. Brother David Eccles,
Ogden, Utah.
Dear Brother:-
I am instructed by the First Council of the Seventy to write you regarding Jedeiah Grant Geddes, who is about to be inquired after to ascertain as to his preparedness and willingness to accept a call for a mission. We have every reason to belive that he is qualified and suitable for that labor, and inasmuch as he holds the prominent possition as Senior President of the 143rd Quorum of Seventy, we feel that he ought to go on a mission. We presented tha matter before President Jos. F. Smith and he advised that the First Council to write you personally asking if you knew of any reason why should not be called. We write you because he is an employee of yours.
We trust that you will take kindly to this matter and offer no objections. Kindly anwer as soone as possible.
Very truly your Brotehr.
J.G.Kimball
General Secretary.
