I write to ask a great favor from you, and yet one that I feel you will never make a loss of a dollar by granting,and if you shall make up your mind to grant my request I will appreciate it more than I am able to tell.
I would like you and Judge Dee to make a purchase from me of all of the securities which I have to spare in the Home Fire Ins, Co, the Coop. Wagon Co. and Heber J. Grant & Co. and to pay me the full market price for these securities and accept from me a written gurarantee that at the end of three years I will repurchase any or all of the stocks which you may have taken at the same price at which you took them from me,and that I will in addition guarantee the average divi¬dends on these securities which you purchase to be not less than ten per cent per annum.
