V1ce .Prewt. Utah & Pac. R. R. Dear Sir: Following your advice or suggestion I made a bill to the
Utah & Pacific for three days of the week that I got leave of abscence for in November so that I oould go to Baker City. Ellerbeck refused to pay the same stating that as Nov. bills had been paid the matter would have to come before the Board of Directors. Now while I am needing every dollar that is legitimately coming to me I would rather loose the amt. that create any controversy over the matter with the Board. It will be the same old song of the Utah and Pacific being made to work advantage to the Oregon Lumber Company. I do not know what position Bro. Nibley took upon the matter, but it seems to me that if you and he wished the U. &. P. to pay this in preference to the 0. L. Co. that Ellerbeck sho¬uld have been overruled in the matter. For who is this man Ellerbeck that he should take such a stand. I shall write him a piece of ray mind upo
